As a counselor, my goal is to come along side my clients during those times of change, confusion, and pain to help them explore what is holding them back and what will empower them to move toward growth and health.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Texas 61816 and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Texas 11456. I hold a BS from Cairn University, Langhorne, PA and a MS and PhD in Counseling from Texas A&M University Commerce, Commerce, Texas.
My counseling experiences include work at a university and for a not-for-profit organization. I have also worked overseas and appreciate the varied backgrounds and experiences people bring to counseling. I really enjoy working with couples and helping them connect with each other and build their relationships. My training with couples includes the Gottman Method for Couples Counseling, Levels 1 and 2. I am also a facilitator for Prepare and Enrich.
I work with individuals in a variety of areas including work with women, marriage and family, substance abuse and addiction, anxiety and depression, and grief counseling. I enjoy bringing creativity to my discussions with my clients and use sand tray and EMDR in my work.
